Thinks to do

Sète, presqu'ile? The omnipresence of water, its incomparable light and colours; all qualities which have given it its second name "Venice of the Languedoc".

Built on the flanks of Mont St.Clair, wedged between the Thau Lagoon, the Sea and the canals, Sète is one of the largest ports on the Mediterranean Sea. In Sète, there is a sweet mixture of scents from the Sea and the Garrigue in the air. Paul Valéry and Georges Brassens are its two most famous sons. It is also a cosmopolitan city, in which its foreign communities, mostly Italians, contribute to its picturesque ambience

Brassens's 25 th death anniversaire
Since December 1st "l'Espace Brassens" has been reopened. This museum is dedicated to the Sète born artist, Georges Brassens. The tourist office proposes an audio guided tour about Brassens (in French).

Restaurants located on the quays put at the honour Sète gastronomy, fish of the Mediterranean Sea and shellfish of the Thau lagoon.

Sète beaches spread along sandy shore. The Lazaret beach and Corniche beach are the nearest from the city center. The Villeroy beach and offshore bar stretch to Marseillan-Plage.

Moreover, whatever you like lying lazy on your beach mattress or you'd rather enjoy life playing beach games or having fun with friends at the beach bars and restaurants, you 'll find happiness on the twelve km fine sandy beach.
